Maura Federico -- Head Teacher 3's Room
Maura holds a B.A. in Early Childhood and Art and has much
experience working with young children including the
Children's Preschool in New Haven.
Karen Bergstrom -- Interim Director
Brenda Ward-Kelley -- Co-Teacher 4's Room
Brenda holds a B.S. in Elementary Education and Connecticut
State Elementary Teaching Certification. She has had many
years of experience as a Family Day Care provider and
preschool teacher.
Karen Scheiber -- Head Teacher 4's Room
Karen holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and
Elementary Teaching Certification and has many years of
experience teaching young children.
Cindy Cavallaro -- Head Teacher 5's Room
Cindy holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and has many
years of experience working with preschool children.
We also have student volunteers from Cheshire Academy in the fall and spring months.
1st Church Preschool Staff
Our teachers are CPR and 1st Aid certified.  They all also have a degree and are experienced. We
have a head teacher with an assistant in every class. Each year, staff members are required to
attend workshops and classes for continuing education. We are all committed in helping each child
grow and mature in a loving and positive way.
