WELCOME TO THE 3's ROOM!
We are a small, self-contained room for 10 three-year-olds at a time with 2 teachers,
providing a slower paced, protective and relaxed atmosphere for these younger
children who may be beginning their first group experience away from home.

WISHLIST
We have an active, play based, structured learning environment, prepared to meet the physical, social, emotional and cognitive
needs of young children, unfolding indoors in the classroom as well as out of doors on our multi-area playground each day except
in severe weather.

Although we accept children in our program who are not toilet trained in September, the family is responsible for initiating the toilet
training of their
child during the fall months.  Children will be encouraged and supported in their efforts at school and must be well
on their way to
underwear by January.  We will work in partnership with parents to maintain consistency in supporting their child's
efforts and progress.

A nutritious morning and afternoon snack is provided each day, with lunch brought from home.

Parents are welcome to visit in their child's classroom throughout the year and will be invited for lunch and observation visits at
special times.

Children are assessed in the fall and again in the spring using the 30 performance standards put forth by the State Department of
Education for Preschool Curricular Goal & Benchmarks.  We use this tool to chart developmental gains that we observe and
monitor in the classroom.
